Parents consider Fraser River CEC Child Care Chilliwack for a variety of reasons. One of the most significant is that higher education is highly competitive. Many parents want to do everything they can to help their children succeed. As early learning pioneers, we provide a comprehensive curriculum that addresses the whole child. Education should never be prioritised over other needs. As a result, we created age-appropriate programmes based on early childhood development.
Child Care Chilliwack, has BC-certified teachers guide students through a balanced daily curriculum that addresses intellectual, physical, artistic, emotional, and nutritional wellness in state-of-the-art classroom settings.
Intellectual Development
Our signature programmes encourage children’s natural desire to explore both physically and cognitively. Every classroom creates an atmosphere of wonder and delight by setting the stage for dynamic hands-on discovery. We do not use a single teaching method to accommodate our students’ diverse learning styles. Instead, we use experiential and project-based learning to encourage student participation and engagement. With the guidance and encouragement of our caring teachers, students are assigned age-appropriate tasks and responsibilities in order to keep them organically engaged.
Appreciation for Art
Artistic development fills an important void in our curriculum. More than a language for expressing ideas and emotions, studies show that sights, sounds, movement, and colours stimulate neural connections. Activities such as story time, music, and visual arts engage both sides of the brain, which will improve memory, concentration, and attention.
Emotional Growth
It’s no secret that young children require security, encouragement, and affection to help them develop mentally and emotionally. We have at least one teacher for every four students in our Infant-Toddler classrooms and at least one teacher for every eight students in our Junior Kindergarten classrooms to facilitate this. We make it a point to lavish praise, encouragement, and guidance on our students, and we always model exemplary behaviours such as cooperation, collaboration, light leadership, curiosity, sharing, and kindness. When we notice aggressive or disruptive behaviour, we work with the student and parents to resolve the situation before it worsens.
Healthy Living
Students who are well-rounded require time to explore and exercise. That is why our lessons are interspersed with periods of focused play. We’ve incorporated opportunities for our children to burn off excess energy right into our curriculum. These could include things like teacher-led yoga and stretching, as well as outdoor exploration. And, to keep kids full and fueled, our in-house chef prepares fresh, healthy snacks and hot meals that adhere to the most recent Canada Food Guide guidelines for optimal nutrition.
Accepting Challenges
Embracing challenges is perhaps the most important lesson we teach at Fraser River CEC. Our teachers provide opportunities for students to explore new activities and interests as they develop leadership skills and discover their natural talents. We believe that one of the most important qualities for long-term success is growth. That is why, as they progress through our curriculum, we keep students engaged in age-appropriate activities for their proximal zone of development.
Practicing Lessons at Home
Our team of licensed early childhood educators has designed a holistic curriculum for Chilliwack Child Care. However, in order for children to fully benefit from our programme, they must have caring parents and adults who reinforce positive ideas. So much of what children learn is influence by the behaviours they see their parents modelling at home. We work with parents to develop positive attitudes toward learning and health. We accomplish this by informing parents what is going on in the classroom. Send these updates to various family members to keep everyone informed and to actively engage your child in conversation about their day and what they learned.
